Isolated is located in the historical Baker Building on the eastern end of Reid Street in the City of Hamilton, Bermuda. Constructed in the nineteenth century in the traditional style of Bermuda Stone and timber, it is one of the oldest, still-in-use buildings in the city. Pine and Cedar beams and columns expose the master carpentry and joinery typical of the era and the episode Bermuda stone perimeter walls reflect the authenticity of traditional Bermuda architecture. The loft space, with vaulted ceilings and exposed rafters is the main HQ of Isolated, where an open-plan design includes a line of visible workshops, retail space, lounge/bar area and skateboard mini ramp. The preservation of the intrinsic beauty of the building has been at the forefront of the redesign of the space, and with the help of master designer, Kaitlyn O’Hara, it comes through beautifully. Come on by. Have a shred or just hang out and watch the action.
